The ingredient of Pan-fried haloumi with lemon, garlic & thyme

  1. 2 x 180g pkts haloumi, drained
  2. 1 tbsp olive oil
  3. Zest from 1 lemon (see Note)
  4. 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  5. 6 sprigs fresh thyme
  6. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  7. Coles Bakery Stone Baked White Sourdough Baguette, to serve
  8. Lemon wedges, to serve

The instruction how to make Pan-fried haloumi with lemon, garlic & thyme

  1. Halve the haloumi length-ways and cut each piece into 3 rectangles.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the lemon zest, garlic and thyme, stirring, for 2 mins to develop the flavours.
  3. Add the haloumi to the pan and cook for 2 mins each side or until golden. Drizzle with lemon juice and transfer to a large plate. Season with pepper and serve immediately with sliced bread and lemon wedges.
